The Fantastic
4
... also known as the Famous Amos!
December 2008
Dancing is obviously in the blood, with (nearly) the whole family
hooked on Dancesport.
David and Leanne (Mum and Dad) compete in the Masters I New Vogue
and have been one of the top couples in Australia for several years now, featuring in all the major event
finals.
Earlier in the year they successfully defended their SA State
Title and took out first place at the South Pacific Championships in Sydney.

They have
contended for the top honours in the finals at the Australian Dancesport Championship several times, and
despite an injury riddled year have placed third in 2008 in a very tight contest for the number one
spot.
Preparations
are already on the way for next years title challenge, and with their “Never say Die” attitude are sure to be
one of the favourites for the 2009 Australian
Championship.

Joel (son no. 1) has recently commenced a new partnership with Bianca Lazar
and is the fresh 2008 Australian Level 2 Youth New Vogue Champion.
Joel and Bianca also made the final in the Youth Level 3
Standard and the quarter-final in the Youth Latin.
Joel & Bianca are the Under 21 SA State Title holders in
both Standard and New Vogue and 2009 promises to be a great year for this partnership.

Cale (son no. 3) is the junior of the clan. Together with his
partner, Monique Pisaniello, Cale competed at the Juvenile events at the Australian Championship and got into the
semi-final.

These two are truly champions in the making. Having started at
such a young age and already showing such talent, the future sure looks bright.
They placed first in Latin, Standard and New Vogue at the 2008
SA State Titles and also won the most appealing couple trophy at the same event.
Cale & Monique show skill and determination
way beyond their age, and it is great to see such quality in our younger ranks.

So what happened to son no. 2? I left him off, because he
messes up my headline – no, seriously, Reid is into martial arts and is preparing for his black belt in
Taekwondo.
Probably worth mentioning that Reid did have a go at dancing,
but he is one of those people who have too many talents and not enough time to pursue them all. Gee, life's
tough.
