Grand Prix - June 2009

The Grand Prix is always a good preparation for the NCDC National Championships in Canberra. Team Emporio was well represented with the usual suspects and some new faces.

Brenton Hillard & Karen Bollenhagen - first Latin event

There was a "Hello - Good Bye" event in the Latin Coach & Pupil event. We are delighted to welcome Maddison "Maddy" McCourt into the Team. Maddy danced with her coach Evan Sutherland.

Leanne Tassone has formed a new partnership and we look forward to seeing them on the floor at the next competition. Leanne danced her "last" Coach & Pupil event with her coach Chris Gruber.

The competition was held at the Macedonian Hall and there were plenty of couples to make it a great show.

Winners of the day

Cale Amos & Monique Pisaniello again leading the medal tally with 8 wins from 8 events!

Special mention has to go to Lee Sneddon & Amy , pictured left with their coach Madeleine Zoanetti,  winning 3 out of 4 events in their first appearance.

Talk about making an entrance! They had fantastic energy and we hope they can continue their good run in Canberra. 

Joel Amos & Bianca Lazar also with a strong showing, claiming 6 first placings from 8 events (and 2 seconds).

This was a super effort by all the Emporio couples, and we are delighted with the results. Keep up the good work and thank you for doing the studio proud.
