Madeleine in China

We are excited to announce that Madeleine has been invited to adjudicate a number of international events in China.

Madeleine is the only South Australian IDSF adjudicator, and has a long record of judging International events all over the world, including the IDSF Senior World Latin Championship in Spain. Despite past experience, this will be a first in the sense that Madeleine will also adjudicate the Wheelchair Dance Sport Championships.

First stop is in Beijing for a two day event, 21-22 March, where the Wheelchair Dance Competition and the Asian Ballroom Competitions are held.

From Beijing, it is straight off to Hong Kong for a 3 day dancing bonanza. From the 27 – 29 March, there will be:

The 3rd Hong Kong DanceSport Festival
The 6th Hong Kong Wheelchair Dance Sport Festival
The 5th HKIAABD Cup Hong Kong International Open Ballroom Dance Competition

There will be a number of performances from some of the biggest names in the game, including Amateur, Professional and Wheelchair dance champions.

Madeleine had a key involvement in setting up what is now a great friendship with Mr Bill Lau, Chairman of the H.K.I.A.A.B.D (Hong Kong International Association for the Advancement of Ballroom Dancesport), making the first contact in Blackpool in 2005. Mr Bill Lau is a great supporter of DanceSport, both in China and internationally, and we were fortunate enough to have his support at the recent Australian DanceSport Championship.
