David Placentino

David started
dancing at the age of 13 at Charles Campbell Secondary school and was involved in the dance program for five
years.
David
completed SAS Dance in year twelve, which had four key components of choreography, performance, technique and
theory; based on Martha Graham’s technique of modern dance.
Throughout the
five years in the Charles Campbell dance program, David also conducted ballet and numerous other styles of
dance, workshops, performances and Eisteddfods’.
David continued his dancing career at Madeleine Dance Emporio, where he took up
Latin American dancing on a competitive level.
With a passion for freestyle, David started Hip Hop/Funk at
Pure Funk and has been teaching various styles of Hip Hop for a number of studios such as Actors Inc, Hyperdance
and Xcel Ballet studios.
David competes and performs regularly in a Hip Hop crew called
the Pure Funksta’s, including at the National Hip Hop Championships in Sydney called
Battlegrounds.
Being inspired by Michael Jackson and Justin Timberlake, David
is a self-taught Hip Hop dancer with an emphasis on hard energy and liquid movement. David has created a unique
style influenced by the various forms of dance he has studied.
David offers a fantastic opportunity for anyone to learn Hip
