Summer Festival - November 2008

The Summer Festival, held at the Croatian Club, was again an opportunity for all the couples and competitors from the studio to do The Emprio proud. Congratulations to all the winners and place getters.

The Emporio was again the number one Dancesport studio, you guys rock!

The Summer Festival is the last SA event before the Australian Championship in Melbourne. For all the couples that are going to compete there - best of luck!

The Adult Open Latin was one of the highlights of the day, with our very own Annalisa taking out 1st place with her partner Gyuri.

2nd place went to Paul & Sheree from Melbourne and 3rd to Philip and Heather.

This was a great show to watch and we congratulate you on your excellent results.

Joel Amos & Bianca Lazar are starting to shake up the competiton, winning Youth L1/2 Latin & New Vogue, and Youth L3 Standard. Keep up the good work.

Amy Goreham set the house on fire with her performance in the Coach & Pupil event.

Amy is currently looking for a dance partner, and we can't wait to see her competing again.

Cale Amos & Monique Pisaniello have a habbit of stealing the show, winning Juvenile L1 Standard & New Vogue and Juvenile Open Standard. They also placed 2nd in Juvenile L1 Latin and Juvenile L2 & below Latin. Superstars in the making!

Achivement Award

The 2008 DASA Achivement Award went to Jim Sneddon & Glenys Raveane. The award was presented by Angela and Cyriaque Kinkingnehun from Paris. Angela is originally from Adelaide and together with Cyriaque they were the opening number for the 2004 Australian Championship. Well done Jim & Glenys.
