The Summer Festival is again the last opportunity for couples to get a "run on the floor" before the Australian DanceSport Championships in Melbourne in December.

Team Emporio was very well represented and we had a number of new partnerships making their debut.

The Adult field was particularly strong and the energy was just "electrifying".

The Open events took on a slightly different format this year, not only allowing couples from Level 2 up, but also mixing the age divisions. A positive move in my opinion, making for a more exiting event with more couples on the floor.

David Placentino and Amy Goreham were on the floor for the first time. This is an exciting new Latin combination with a lot of influences from Hip Hop and contemporary styles.

They competed in the Adult Level 3, Level 4 and Open events. Great effort for such a new partnership.

Clint Fiedler & Leanne Tassone had an excellent competition, placing 2nd in the Adult Level 2 Standard and winning all their other events. They have been dancing together for some time now and are a fantastic 10 Dance couple.

Worth noting that Team Emporio took out the Adult Level 2, 3, 4 and Open events. Awesome!

Tony Romano & Cathy Caputo took out the Masters I & II Level 5 and the Masters I Open Latin events.

The Adult Level 2 Latin was taken out by Goabaone Molelekwa & Lauren Weber with James Virgo and Rachel Lloyd bringing home third place. Well done!

Aiden Minshaw & Bianca Lazar took out the Adult Open New Vogue, while Brenton Hillard & Giselle West took out the Masters I & II Level 5 and Masters I Open New Vogue.

Also for the first time on the floor were Chris Gruber & Mary Mears. They competed in the Masters I Level 3 and Level 4 Standard.

Congratulations to all the competitors from Team Emporio, including our Social & Medallist competitors who did the studio proud.

Mission Impossible is to get all of Team Emporio in one photo at the same time. We got most of the Team from the Summer Festival. This is a great team - well done. Now let's do it all again at the Australian Championships - but even better!!!!
